Second-Chance Employment Program

A second chance,
built to last.

Giving people a real way forward, and a real way home.

What this program is

A real job for people rebuilding after a DUI.

Umpire's mission starts with giving people a safer way home. That mission extends naturally to giving people who made that mistake once a real opportunity to work while they move forward, not just a policy line, but a genuine program. A past DUI does not automatically disqualify an applicant. We review these case by case, provided the applicant currently holds a valid driver's license.

Same track, no exceptions

Same onboarding, training, and certification path as every other courier, never a separate or lesser track.

Real support, real standards

A point of contact for questions, and scheduling flexibility around any court-ordered requirements, alongside zero tolerance for any new safety or compliance issue once hired.

16% vs. 52%

Reoffense rate for people employed a full year after release, versus those who couldn't find stable work

80%+

Of HR and business leaders say second-chance hires perform as well as, or better than, other employees

66%

Of employees say they're proud to work somewhere that supports people rebuilding their lives

How it works

Built on trust, and on accountability.

Eligibility

A valid, current driver's license, and a clean record otherwise. A past DUI is reviewed case by case, not an automatic disqualifier.

Structure

Same onboarding, training, and certification as every courier. No separate or lesser track.

Support

A point of contact for questions about the process, and flexibility around scheduling if the applicant is completing any court-ordered requirements.

Standards

Zero tolerance for any new safety or compliance violation once hired. The opportunity is real, and so is the accountability that comes with it.
